About the project
We are currently looking for a Safety Officer to join our F.R.P project located at Hirakud & Lapanga Siding of Clint Hindalco Industries Limited. The project involves the fabrication and installation of F.R.P ducts, tanks, scrubbers, and other equipment for the aluminium smelter plant.
About the role
As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for :
- - Conducting surveys and assessments to identify hazardous conditions that affect workers, property, the environment, and the general public and developing measures to eliminate these.
- - Surveying and investigating the working conditions, determining the causes, and recommending action that will prevent further incidents or accidents.
- - Providing advice around the practical steps to ensure compliance with laws and regulations that govern the environment, health, and safety matters.
- - Conducting risk assessments and related audits to mitigate organizational liability against relevant laws and regulations.
- - Training and educating the workers and staff on the best practices and procedures of OSH.
- - Preparing and maintaining reports and records of OSH activities and incidents.
- - Coordinating and liaising with the client, contractors, suppliers, and authorities on OSH matters.
About you
To be successful in this role, you should have :
- - A Bachelor's Technical degree level (B.E or B.Tech) or a related field (Master's degree is a plus) should be preferable.
- - A Certificate course in Health, Safety & Environmental Processes. (PDIS/Master Degree in Safety)
- - A minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in Safety background.
- - A demonstrated active working experience with the environment, health, and safety issues in a related industry/environment.
- - A working knowledge and understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and other legal regulations that govern the environment, health, and safety in the workplace.
- - An ability to display influencing, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- - An ability to display planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.
- - An ability to display good attention to detail and collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- - An experience dealing with legislators and governing bodies.
